As a distributor of Lightspeed and EasyShop, we intstall and support POS systems all throughout Belgium with all the required equipment for an installation. Whether you want a flawlessly functioning wireless network, an evironment with a stable internet connection that never misses out on an online order, a connected payment terminal that provides you with better insights through simple reports, or just a user-friendly POS system, we’ve helped over a 1000 hospitality businesses with customized digital solutions.

To ensure a continuous growth without jeopardizing the quality of our services and to increase our flexibility, Tills Solutions is looking for an technical engineer who will not only take care of our Dutch-speaking customers but also of the French-speaking ones and who is immediately available.

Who are we looking for?

An optimistic personality with (preferably) experience in the hospitality sector, an affinity for IT in general, and a preference for working independently and getting results.

Someone who knows that there are a thousand and one communication channels (and masters them) but realizes that for this job also requires face-to-face communication…

Someone who approaches our customers with a smile, always aims to find the best solution, and is able defend it with solid arguments.

Someone with a technical background, a competent handyman, who executes his/her work as if he/she’d be doing it for him/herself and is proud of the final result.

Someone who understands that a problem is truly resolved only when the root cause is identified.

Someone who likes taking initiative, working independently and is determined to get results, all the while always considering the interests of the rest of the team, of course!

Who are you? Qualities you need to posses.

  • A positive and enthusiastic attitude
  • Eager to learn
  • You can address our French-speaking customers in well-spoken French, or in Dutch or English if the customer also speaks this language. It goes without saying that trilingualism (Dutch/French/English) is invaluable.
  • Having experience in the hospitality sector is a great advantage.
  • Experience in an IT related job. A (WiFi) network, a PC, a Mac, a Tablet (iOS en Android) has (little to) no secrets for you.
  • You can operate machinery, such as a drill, a screwdriver, a hamer, but also tools like a RJ45 crimping tool, a cable tester, etc.
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, …) has little to no secrets for you.
  • Driver’s license B
  • You live in the area, preferably between Ghent and Brussels.

What are your additional assets?

  • Experience in the hospitality sector (preferably in a management position)
  • Education related to IT, such as network engineering, PC technician, etc.
  • Basic knowledge of programming languages
  • An affinity for SEO, social media, WordPress, …
  • Good knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, …
  • You are immediately available.

Which tasks will you carry out?

  • As technical installation engineer you prepare for an installation at the office and install everyting on-site as expected by your colleagues and the customer.
    This includes networks – sometimes just a router, and other times an extensive network with multiple access points – as well as POS systems.
  • You explain everything to the customer and adjust the installation accordingly.
  • As support provider customer can rely on you to answer their technical and functional questions. You’re the expert on the subject.
  • As technician you’re able to help customers with their technical questions. You’re the expert on the subject. You seperate the issues that can be resolved via phone from those that require support on-site. For the latter, we asses whether you or a colleague goes on-site, with the sole purpose of getting the customer operational again as soon as possible.
  • As a teamplayer you understand the necessity of maintining your adminstration regarding your completed tasks.

Because of your professional approach, you succeed at turning a pressing problem into a flawlessly functioning system. In case you can’t give support remotely, a team of experienced technicians will take care of it.
